UK metal band Arendia have released the EP “Hymns of Ember and Ash” on 13 October 2025 under Three Radials Media. The record is available now on streaming platforms.

UK metallers Arendia return with “Hymns of Ember and Ash”, out now on all major streaming platforms through their Three Radials Media label, and marking their first new music in two years. True to the band’s roots in traditional, thrash and black metal, the EP arrives at a seasonal crossroads and at a transitional moment for Arendia as they record and produce their own material for the first time. The result is a fitting soundtrack to the passage from Mabon to Samhain, leading listeners through mystical woodlands, pagan ritual and ancient lore.

“Hymns of Ember and Ash” unites long-time members Ged Brown, bass, guitar and vocals, Mark Fishwick, guitar, and Simon Brotherton, drums, with Mark also steering production. The four tracks were crafted collectively, with each member contributing lyrics that explore ancient and local history on “The Tomb of Semiramis” and “The Hollowing”, and fictional and fantastical realms on “Blessings of Akatosh” and “Holmwood”. “Though I like to write my own music along with my own lyrics, we have always worked on our songs together, so it felt natural to work on recording and producing them as a band too. It has been really rewarding to take control of the whole process, and we are really happy with the result,” says guitarist, lyricist, songwriter and producer Mark Fishwick.

Formed in 2004 as a side project by Simon and Ged, Arendia became a full-time band in 2007 with Mark’s arrival. Their second and third demos were compiled as “Wild Woods” in 2016 alongside the “Sanctuary of the Moors” EP, followed by the album “A Radial to the Sea” in 2023. In 2024 the band revisited their origins with a remastered edition of their first demo, “The Bamfurlong Sessions”.
