Peruvian band Saloma, one of the brightest rising stars of the power folk metal scene, announces the release of their new single and music video “Ángel de Acero”, a historic collaboration with renowned Italian vocalist Fabio Lione, celebrated for his work with legendary bands such as Angra, Rhapsody, and Vision Divine. This is the first time Fabio Lione performs an entire song in Spanish.

Staying true to their pirate-themed concept, Saloma’s members appear as a corsair crew in the video. The big surprise comes when Fabio Lione steps onscreen as a pirate captain, sailing from Italy to join the Peruvian band and perform a powerful duet with Saloma’s lead singer, Gustavo Michael.

The song narrates fantastic events within a fictional pirate universe, where reality is reshaped by mysterious characters and small changes that alter the course of universal history.

With their original concept and sound, Saloma has established itself as one of the most promising bands in the Peruvian metal scene. In 2024, they won Wacken’s Metal Battle Peru, earning the right to represent the country at the regional finals in Ecuador, sharing the stage with winners from other nations. The band has already opened shows for international artists such as Spanish singer José Andrea (ex-Mägo de Oz) and the Spanish folk metal band Lèpoka, further proving their rapid rise and growing reputation.
