Finnish hard rock band Sixgun Renegades return with Slave To The Grid, their fourth album and first release after a hiatus. Formed in Helsinki in 2008, the band take their cues from the classic foundations of stadium rock, with Thin Lizzy, Van Halen, Judas Priest and Dokken among the main reference points.
The album also introduces bassist Tuomas "Topo" Koskipää, who joins the band following the departure of longtime bassist Miko Mattila, part of Sixgun Renegades from 2013 to 2025.
Three years of work went into Slave To The Grid, shaped by changes inside the band and by the need to keep moving forward.
Niko Räty says: "Slave To The Grid is the most diverse and strongest album of our career to date, an album that combines composition and production in a way that we will be proud of for the rest of our lives. However, the making of the album was not without challenges, and we also had to make painful decisions to secure the future continuity of the band. In some ways, this album feels like a crossroads for us, and the lyrics deal with the difficulty of letting go and finding your own direction."
