Berlin metalcore band 4 Oceans have released their new single, "Lies in Your Eyes".
Founded in 2020 as an independent DIY project, 4 Oceans have built their sound around heavy riffs, melodic parts and modern production, with lyrics focused on mental health, personal struggles and human relationships. After their self-produced debut EP First Wave and a series of singles, including collaborations with Dominik from Cypecore, Egor Erushin and Lead Horizon, the band played across Germany and Italy and reached more than 160,000 streams on Spotify.
"Lies in Your Eyes" comes after a creative break and a rebuilt line-up. The song deals with the difficult process of letting go after a painful breakup. Musically, it keeps the band close to modern metalcore, with emotional melodies, heavy breakdowns and an atmospheric electronic section influenced by techno. The single is also accompanied by an official music video.
