[news] Bulgarian black metallers Dimholt announce new album “MetaForm”

Bulgarian black metal band Dimholt are set to release their long-awaited third full-length album “MetaForm” in the final quarter of 2025. Alongside the announcement, the band have revealed the album’s artwork, created by Bulgarian photographer and visual artist Silvi Ilieva (Sinister Scenes).
Recorded during two sessions in 2024, drums were tracked in Sofia at Pepinio Records with Yordan Borisov and Petar Bratanov, while all other instruments and vocals were completed at Opus Magnum Studio in Brussels under the direction of Déhà, who also handled mixing and mastering.
Frontman Woundheir comments:
“It’s been quite some time since ‘Epistēmē’. Its release unfortunately coincided with turbulent times, which inevitably affected its promotion. With ‘MetaForm’, we wanted to carefully refine our sound and capture the truest expression of the band as it stands today. Working with Déhà again felt natural—beyond our friendship, there’s a deep creative chemistry that pushed us forward.”
The band also spoke about their collaboration with Sinister Scenes on the visual concept:
“Silvi has captured some of our most memorable live moments over the years. We trusted her with ‘MetaForm’ artwork after just one conversation—and the result exceeded all expectations. She truly managed to capture the atmosphere of the record.”
“MetaForm” features eight tracks that explore themes of metaphysics, cosmic vastness and existential darkness:
- MetaForm
- Radiance of Dying Light
- Totem
- Reality in Timeless Comatose
- The Horrors of the Maddened Eyes
- To Embrace the Profound Stillness
- Tomb of Molten Stars
- Tapestry of Shapeless Eternity
The first song from the album will be unveiled in the coming weeks, with more details about the band’s activities to follow.
