Following the success to their cover of “Enola Gay”, dark electronic project PURE OBSESSIONS & RED NIGHTS return with another 80s staple. The band have released their own take on Eurythmics’ 1983 classic “Here Comes the Rain Again”, keeping the song’s synth-pop heart intact while filtering it through their darker electronic lens.

This track stands as one of the most enduring songs of the 80s. Eurythmics were true innovators, driven by the instantly recognizable voice of Annie Lennox and the subtle yet powerful arrangements crafted by Dave Stewart. Together, they shaped a sound that was both emotionally exposed and meticulously constructed — a blueprint that still resonates today.

Here Comes the Rain Again is a song built on contrast: fragility and strength, restraint and intensity. Its emotional honesty and sense of space have always struck a deep chord with us.

For this reinterpretation, we focused on atmosphere and texture, blending a more old-school, analog-driven approach with our own darkwave sensibility. The vocal lines were reshaped to fit our universe, leaning into a darker and more introspective tone — while remaining faithful to the spirit and structure of the original song.
