Shiver Down, the melodic death metal project born from the mind of Tomas Valentini (historical bass player for the '80s heavy metal legend SKANNERS), announce the release of their new official video: "The Beauty of Slumber." The track is taken from their debut album "The Void Supreme," released via Ad Noctem Records.

The Video and Concept: Between Apathy and Rebirth
Filmed and directed by the skilled hands of Due DeciBel, the video was captured within the atmospheric setting of the Revolver Club in San Donà di Piave (Venice), one of the landmark stages for Northern Italy's underground and rock/metal scene.

"The Beauty of Slumber" explores one of the darkest tendencies of modern human beings: fleeing from suffering into the numbing comfort of apathy. The track reduces emotion to a state of pure lethargy, yet it doesn't stop at nihilism. On the contrary, it transforms into a powerful call to action, a cry urging us to break out of our "comfort zone" and draw a new, unexpected strength directly from life's hardships. A cathartic journey through the void of the human experience.

The Sound
The sound of the Verona-based band combines the power of melodic death metal with synthesizer incursions, majestic orchestral sections, and dark, melancholic elements. The lyrics dig deep into themes of pain, loss, existential anguish, and sorrow, offering a dense, theatrical, and visceral listening experience.
