[news] Tomi Perrakoski releases his 2nd album, "Homeland"
Homeland is the second solo album by Finnish musician and media personality Tomi Perrakoski.
The album is built around stories inspired by Native American history, focusing on themes such as survival, identity, freedom, and justice. Each song looks at a different part of that history, from the richness of Indigenous cultures to the hardships caused by displacement, oppression, and conflict.
Although every track tells its own story, together they form a larger narrative about resilience, courage, and the strength of Native peoples across generations.
Musically, Homeland brings together melodic and symphonic metal, cinematic elements, emotional melodies, and story-driven songwriting. The aim of the album is to pay respect to the history and legacy of Native American communities while encouraging listeners to reflect on their experiences.
Several tracks also feature drums and guitars by Derek Wolfstein, adding extra weight and depth to the album’s sound.
“Homeland is one of the most personal albums I have created. Every song tells a story about survival, identity, injustice and hope. I wanted to honor the voices and histories that are too often overlooked. Every song tells a story. Every story remembers a people.” - Tomi Perrakoski
