[news] Torturer releases “Burning Alive!” — a devastating live album from Santiago, Chile
South American death/thrash veterans TORTURER have released “Burning Alive!”, a fierce live recording captured during their hometown concert at Arena Recoleta in August 2024. Self released and now available on all major digital platforms, the album delivers an unfiltered portrait of the band’s raw power on stage.
“That night felt like we were burning alive with the crowd, the energy, the music,” says bassist and vocalist Francisco Cautín. “This album is who we are. No overdubs, no tricks, just the three of us, pure Torturer on stage.”
The power trio features Francisco Cautín on bass and vocals, JT García on guitar and Chris Oros on drums. The setlist includes material from across their career, from early releases such as “Demo 91” and “Oppressed by the Force” which were both recently reissued on vinyl by Nuclear War Now!, to tracks from their latest studio album “Burning Cross”.
