Legendary US heavy/speed metal band PREDATOR have just launched a lyric video for the song "Raping the Population," the second advance single from their upcoming album "Unsafe Space", set to be released on March 18th, 2025 in CD, 12" LP, cassette, and digital formats. PREDATOR, a pioneering US heavy metal band originally formed in July 1984, is back and ready to reclaim their place in the metal world! Founding member, main guitarist, and vocalist Jeff Prentice leads the charge, reviving the band’s legacy in heavy metal.
The band’s debut record "Easy Prey", released by Metal Blade Records in 1986, gained a reputation for its fast, soaring tracks and Jeff’s guitar-shredding mastery. PREDATOR toured extensively with speed metal icons such as FLOTSAM AND JETSAM and BLOODLUST, earning a loyal fanbase.
Jeff’s extraordinary guitar skills even earned him an audition for OZZY OSBOURNE following Jake E. Lee’s departure. Over the years, he has played live with garage rock pioneers THE SEEDS on BBC Radio London, written and released albums with the band OUTLAND on Frontier Records, and produced records for international heavy metal artists, including NINTH CIRCLE on Pure Steel Records.
Over the past few years, PREDATOR has been hard at work writing material for their highly anticipated comeback album "Unsafe Space". The album, produced by Jeff Prentice and co-written with bassist Frank Forray of NINTH CIRCLE, pushes the band into groundbreaking territory with its high-energy blend of heavy, speed, and thrash metal. PREDATOR is back on the hunt, delivering an album full of shredding riffs and relentless intensity.
