Finnish noise rock / alternative rock band MELU247 have released their cover of The Prodigy’s “Breathe”.

The band have been active since 2025, although the members have a long history in music. Their sound comes from a raw early-90s spirit, pulling from post-rock, noise and alternative rock while keeping a DIY approach.

The idea behind “Breathe” was to take a song already loaded with attitude and push it into a rougher, noisier and more garage-driven shape, treating the cover as a tribute with their own dirt, tension and character.

The single was released as a music video, with the audio also available through Bandcamp and SoundCloud. MELU247 released their first EP on May 1st and will follow it with a second EP in September.
