Out soon: Spanish death metal band Barbarian Prophecies return with new album "Echoes"

Spanish death metal band Barbarian Prophecies will release their new studio album "Echoes" on September 12th, 2026 through Base Record Production. The album will be available in digital format and on CD.

The album reflects more than 25 years of work in the extreme metal scene. Across eight tracks, Barbarian Prophecies keep their base in classic Scandinavian death metal while bringing in elements from melodic death metal, hardcore, black metal, progressive metal and classical music.

Recorded, mixed and mastered during 2025 at Kollapse Studio by Iván Ferro, Echoes goes for an organic and natural production. The band avoid an overly polished sound, keeping the performances rawer and closer to their own identity.

Lyrically, the album revolves around human mysticism, roots and the connection with something that exists beyond time. The band have also released a new video single from the album.
