[news] Premiere: Crá Croí return with cinematic new single "Fires At Dawn"
Crá Croí (Irish for "heartache" or "vexation of spirit" / pronounced: "Craw Kree") return with a new single entitled "Fires At Dawn", a stirring, cinematic reflection on ruin and renewal. Where their debut single "Radiation Romance" glowed in the aftermath, "Fires At Dawn" stands at the threshold between night and awakening, a hymn for the haunted, and an anthem for survival.
The Irish duo, RG (all instruments, music, lyrics, production) and CD (vocals, artwork, co-production), craft a sound both spectral and visceral: brooding synths and fractured guitars beneath vocals that rise like smoke from the wreckage. Built entirely in-house, the track embodies Crá Croí’s unflinching DIY spirit and devotion to atmosphere.

Lyrically, "Fires At Dawn" captures a world caught between despair and defiance. “Hear the sirens call, will we rise or will we fall / We’re the poets of the chaos, writing tales of the dead,” CD sings, a line that crystallizes the band’s vision of beauty forged in collapse. Across the verses, "echoes, embers, and ghosts intertwine": fragile hearts dance in flickering light, broken dreams linger in cold air, and misty horizons hold the last traces of laughter.
"Fires At Dawn" is now available. The official DIY video can be watched on their YouTube channel.
Crá Croí is currently working on their debut full-length album "Tá brón orm" (Irish for: Sadness is on me) for a release in 2026.
