New Delhi’s Antariksh return with “Naaqis”, a dark, emotionally charged progressive rock track that pulls Hindustani classical colour into a modern prog framework. It features Polish guitar virtuoso Jakub Zytecki and eighth-generation sarangi prodigy Momin Khan, and it sits as a key turning point in the band’s upcoming concept album Rehguzar, where early optimism gives way to confrontation and the weight of reality starts to settle in.

Lyrically, “Naaqis” lives in that uncomfortable stretch where conviction gets tested. Fear, insecurity, and self-doubt creep in, and the road you chose starts to feel far less forgiving than you expected. It also touches on betrayal, the moment you realise some of the people you trusted were never really on your side in the first place.

“Naaqis represents that uncomfortable phase where the excitement fades and reality hits hard,” says Varun Rajput. “It’s about feeling incomplete, let down, and questioning the people and choices around you, while still trying to summon the grit to push through. It exposes the cracks in the game and the vulnerability that comes with it. Collaborating with one of my favourite guitar players, Jakub Zytecki, and the incredibly talented Momin Khan has elevated the song to another level and made it truly special.”

Musically, the track moves through shifting time signatures, heavy riffs, and big dynamic swings, balancing punch with space when the story needs to breathe. The fusion peaks with a haunting sarangi solo from Momin Khan, followed by an explosive Żytecki lead that pushes the song into genuinely global territory.
