Akantophis, from Germany, present their new album, "Erneuerung", set to be released on April 14, 2025. The album features seven tracks with a total running time of 42 minutes, blending atmospheric intensity and aggression. Recorded live at Liquid Aether Audio and mastered under the direction of Mario Dahmen, the album captures an organic and dynamic feel.

The lyrics are primarily in German, adapted to the themes of each track and presented with more variety than before. Akantophis was founded in 1998 and secured their first underground success with "Galaria: Terra@Exitus" in 2001. After a break in 2004 for personal reasons, the band reunited in 2017 with a slightly revised lineup, releasing the 7-inch "Wiederkehr" as a turning point. In 2020, they followed up with "EXITUS XX" (MCD), closing the chapter on their older material and paving the way for this new release.

With "Erneuerung," Akantophis explore a broader sound while staying true to their roots, aiming to connect with a wider audience through this release.
