Serrabulho entered the Erosvision contest – but instead of throwing a foam party on the stage, they peed on it!
"Piss & Love" is Serrabulho's next step! The Portuguese act returns with its fourth album, after a 75-gig tour promoting the previous record "Porntugal [Portuguese Vagitarian Gastronomy]".
Serrabulho is increasingly acknowledged as a hard-working international act, and their new album showcases a band at the top of its form, displaying even more refined writing while simultaneously mixing extreme music with funny hooks and the occasional pop culture references.
Their music is tastefully sprinkled with Portuguese traditional instruments like the bagpipes, cavaquinho (a small 4-string guitar that gave origin to the ukelele), accordion and even Fado's Portuguese guitar. All these enhance their music’s uniqueness and charm, making it stand out easily in the world of metal.
Whether it’s saxophone or hard techno; piano or cartoonish voices; everything is used to create chaos and make you smile!
Serrabulho is a true case study for the way they managed their career since 2011. Hailing from the small northern Portuguese city of Vila Real, they’ve already played in 20 countries (+1 until the end of 2024), making unforgettable statements like throwing the first-ever foam party at Obscene Extreme, or creating the biggest circle pits in the history of the Czech festival, as well as at Spain's Resurrection Fest. Notable feats include playing big festivals like Rockstadt [RO], Kanekas [ES], In Flammen Open Air [DE], Lowland [HU]; closing the main stage of Vagos Metal Fest [PT] three times (two of them with foam parties); perfoming at an electronic/techno festival in Wales (Balter Festival); being the "house band" for the XXXapada Na Tromba fest (currently Xapada Fest) taking place every January in Lisbon [PT]; being the first Portuguese band to close the main stage at SWR - Barroselas Metal Fest [PT]; and more recently performing at Africa's Cape Verde in a very special mainstream event (Grito Rock Praia), with dozens of kids going crazy on the stage.
By now Serrabulho is a brand that everyone knows represents partying, fun, and nonsense! Add to that their craziness and eccentricity, and you have all the traits that have been earning them an ever-increasing amount of fans throughout the years.
