Thy Sanatorium are an anonymous multi-national collective formed in 2025, working in the space where black metal meets gothic, symphonic and other extreme metal elements, with horror as the thread running through everything they do.

Their new single “No Flag Left To Burn” arrived on January 30, 2026 as a self-released digital track, backed by an official video on the band’s YouTube channel. While the project’s earlier singles leaned into horror in a more traditional sense, this one turns towards the horrors of war. As founding member and lead guitarist Aries puts it, “There are no winners and there is no good side when the end result is the death of innocent people.”

Musically, the band describe “No Flag Left To Burn” as leaning more into melodic death metal than black metal, while keeping the broader blend that defines Thy Sanatorium’s sound. The track was recorded at The Sanatorium and produced, mixed and mastered by Aries. It is the third single from a full-length album that is currently nearing completion and planned for release in spring.
