Ad Noctem Records is launching NoctemCast, a new podcast aimed at connecting the Italian underground scene with the global heavy music community.
Hosted by Nik and Roxy, the show mixes straightforward music discussion with a distinct visual style, built around a cartoon aesthetic that sets it apart without getting in the way of the content. It also works as a direct window into the Ad Noctem catalog.
The two hosts come from different backgrounds, which shapes the tone of the show.
Nik leans toward classic hard rock and thrash, with roots in bands like Guns N’ Roses, Mötley Crüe, and the Big Four, but with a strong interest in black metal.
Roxy represents a more current perspective, focusing on modern acts and a balance between technicality and emotion, with influences like Iron Maiden, Spiritbox, Jinjer, and Bad Omens.
Each episode focuses on a release from the Ad Noctem roster. Instead of just playing tracks, Nik and Roxy break down the albums, talking about sound, lyrics, production, and overall direction.
