The legendary Spanish death metal band Aposento has just released the first advance single from their forthcoming fourth album, "No Safe Haven", set for release on July 2, 2024, through Xtreem Music. This release comes just two days before their performance at the Obscene Extreme Festival. "No Safe Haven" was recorded at Rock Lab Studios with Dan Díez from Tierra Santa and mixed by Davide Billia (Beheaded, Antropofagus, ex-Hour of Penance) at MK2 Studios in Italy, resulting in a brutal and powerful sound reminiscent of the classic death metal era of early 90s Florida. The album cover art, created by Naroa Etxebarría, was revealed in April.

Aposento, formed in Logroño, Spain, in 1990, has a rich history within the death metal scene. Their journey began with the release of their first demo "Bloody Ritual" in 1992, followed by several lineup changes and the release of additional demos and mini CDs. After disbanding in 1997, Aposento reformed in 2012 and released their debut full-length album "Aposento" in 2014, followed by "Bleed to Death" in 2017 and "Conjuring the New Apocalypse" in 2020.

Since their last album, Aposento has seen some lineup changes, including the return of former vocalist Carlos García, who was with the band from '93 to '97 and recorded the EP "Welcome to Darkness." Manu Reyes, who has been with the band since its re-formation in 2012, has switched from bass to guitar. The current lineup is rounded out by bassist Pablo Vázquez, who joined in 2021, and new drummer Raúl Ceballos.

  • Pablo Vázquez: Bass
  • Raúl Ceballos: Drums
